WATERCOLOR ON YUPO

Watercolor on Yupo (a waterproof synthetic paper) is Carol Ann's strength and has earned her the title as the Princess of Yupo although she teaches traditional watercolor painting, drawing and composition classes, as well as a unique technique with Batik.

What is Yupo? Yupo is recyclable paper and is a very forgiving surface compared to a traditional watercolor paper. It now makes it possible to paint watercolor without fear of mistakes. Yupo allows the artist  to make corrections. It is possible to wash the pigment off and begin again in part of total.  The artist can take the painting on Yupo to the sink and wash any mistake down the drain, or remove any of the paint with a wet paper towel and begin your masterpiece again and again until you have achieve the look you desire. 

It is fun and easy to work with Yupo. It is ideal for the artist who may be afraid to try watercolor for the first time, or switch from oils to watercolor because painting on traditional watercolor paper can be quite unforgiving. You will achieve greater control of your work. A great benefit of Yupo is it reflects 100% of the pigment you apply. Yupo is super smooth, bright white and durable. It won't tear, it wipes clean, and can be easily sealed after your creation is complete.
